Scottsdale: America's Desert Luxury Capital
In the past decade, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley have emerged as one of America's premier luxury destinations year-round — not just in winter. The combination of exceptional resort infrastructure, golf, significant private art collecting activity, and a rapidly growing UHNW residential community has created a ground transportation market that FFGR entered in 2025.
Two Airports, Two Client Profiles
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) handles the largest commercial traffic into the metro. It is 25 minutes from Scottsdale in normal conditions and is the natural arrival point for most commercial flights. Scottsdale Airport (SDL) — a general aviation field 5 miles north of Old Town — is the primary private jet arrival point for Scottsdale-bound clients. Its proximity to the resort district makes it dramatically more efficient than PHX for guests of the Four Seasons Scottsdale, The Phoenician, or the Camelback Inn.
The Resort Circuit
Scottsdale's resort addresses form a concentrated luxury corridor between Old Town and the McDowell Mountains: The Four Seasons at Troon North, The Phoenician, Andaz Scottsdale, Camelback Inn, Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, and the Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley. Each resort has specific vehicle access protocols and preferred drop-off points that FFGR manages as standard. The Cullinan Black Badge is the recommended vehicle for all Scottsdale resort arrivals — its ground clearance works well on the desert approach roads, and its presence is appropriate for each property.
Paradise Valley: The Residential Enclave
Paradise Valley is a municipality entirely surrounded by Scottsdale and Phoenix — an enclave of large private estates on a scale unusual in the American Southwest. Many FFGR clients maintain winter residences in Paradise Valley, using the market as their primary alternative to Palm Beach or Aspen for December–March. The estate community operates with the same discretion protocols as any private residential market.
Golf Season and the WM Phoenix Open
The Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale in early February is the most-attended event in professional golf. For FFGR clients with corporate hosting obligations or personal enthusiasm for the tournament, we provide transfers with specific routing to avoid the considerable traffic the event generates. Bookings for Phoenix Open week open in November.
